Barefoot Ride-On Bareback Pad with Bags

Riding without a saddle is now possible without harming your horse! Most bareback pads can be uncomfortable to your horse because the girth runs directly across the back and distributes all pressure onto one, maybe two spinous processes. The Barefoot Ride-On-Pad has English style V-girthing which distributes the pressure along the entire pad. The V-Girthing is stabilized by fleece-lined Billet Patches, with real sheep wool so as to not irritate your horse's coat. Use with any dressage style girth. The girth is not included so you can choose the correct size for your horse.

The Ride-On-Pad is padded with high density foam in alternating thickness and is very stable on the horse's back due to the Sympanova material on the underside. The upper side is made from microfiber which ensures good grip for the rider even at speed.

To Clean:

Clean the pad with a damp cloth or a soft brush.
If very dirty it can be washed in the washing machine on gentle cycle. Do NOT put it in the dryer.

My Dutch Warmblood Horse has the perfect build for being in front of a carriage. Under the saddle, however, his huge withers and bouncy gait make it difficult to sit his trot.

Through some rough play with another horse, he managed to get himself a pretty good scratch, just behind his withers. Exactly where a saddle or harness was put.
I decided to try and ride him bareback, which no one probably ever had. Trot was just impossible.

After researching a few types of bareback pad, I got hold this one. What made me go for a Barefoot is the well thought-through design and the fact that it's one of few pads with a good girthing system on their BBP.

It's heaven to ride on. It's well cushioned and I feel as secure as I do in any saddle. My horse relaxes so much more under this pad, while still feeling all my movements. I barely bounce in the trot and have much improved my seat through riding with the pad.

They're a bit pricey, but I'd recommend Barefoot Bareback Pads to anyone!
