Barefoot Nevada - Treeless Western Saddle
The Barefoot Nevada is a western style treeless saddle designed especially for broad, round horses with lower withers. The large square skirts provide increased surface contact and help stabilize the saddle on wide or flat backed horses.
Like all Barefoot saddles, the Nevada includes the VPS (Vertebrae Protection System), which distributes the rider's weight across a larger saddle area while maintaining spinal clearance and allowing the horse to move freely. The saddle flexes in multiple directions so it adapts naturally to the horse's back and movement.
The Nevada is made from robust open-pore leather with a dirt-repellent surface treatment. The flexible stirrup attachment can be positioned as needed, allowing riders to adjust the stirrup placement for different leg lengths and riding styles.
The English billet rigging system improves lateral stability, particularly helpful for horses with a forward girth groove or round barrel shape.

Rider Position Guide
Treeless saddles encourage riders to maintain a balanced seat because there is no rigid tree positioning the rider automatically. Riders transitioning from a traditional treed western saddle may notice a slightly different seat feel at first and may need a short adjustment period while developing balance and core stability.
The Nevada offers a relaxed western seat with close contact, making it comfortable for trail riding and everyday riding.
Barefoot Saddle System
All Barefoot saddles work best when used as part of a saddle system with a suitable Barefoot saddle pad and inserts. This helps distribute rider weight evenly and maintain spinal clearance for the horse

Saddle Trial Program
You can try the saddle for one week (7 days) after receiving the saddle to decide if it is a good fit for you and your horse. Keep it clean, keep the tags. Ride in a controlled area, do not go on a trail ride. If you mark it up, scratch it, or damage it, you cannot return it. You cannot return a used saddle pad or girth/cinch. Use your own saddle pad to try the saddle if possible. If after one week you decide to return the saddle, you will be charged a $150 restocking fee and you pay to ship the saddle back to us. If you would like to try a saddle for a week, Message us sales@barefootsaddlesusa.com
