We're excited you're considering a Barefoot saddle! These flexible, treeless saddles are designed to support both horse and rider with comfort and freedom of movement. Before you place your order. Here s how to get the right fit and what to expect:

Saddle System & Fitting Info

We highly recommend all new customers read through our Saddle System and Fitting Guide before ordering. Understanding how the system works will help you make the best choices for both you and your horse. If you have any questions, were happy to help no question is too small!

Saddle Fit For the Rider

Barefoot saddles are sized based on rider clothing sizes. As a general guide: If you wear size 8 or smaller pants, you'll likely need a Size 1 saddle. If you wear larger than size 8, you'll likely need a Size 2. If you're unsure, were happy to help you choose the right size for your body type and riding style!

Saddle Fit For the Horse

Proper fit for your horse is just as important. Barefoot saddles feature exchangeable pommels (or forks) that must match your horses shoulder width. We offer printable pommel sizing charts to help you measure and choose the right fit. Let us know your horses measurements or send photos, and we gladly guide you through the fitting process.

Breaking In Your Saddle

Barefoot saddles need a break-in period to mold both you and your horse. During this time: The saddle may need more frequent girth/cinch tightening. We recommend avoiding high-impact activities like barrel racing or strenuous trail riding until the saddle is broken in. Once the saddle conforms to your horse and your riding, it offers excellent stability and wont shift, even during more active use.

What is Included & What is Sold Separately

Unless stated otherwise, leathers, fenders, and stirrups are sold separately. This allows you to fully customize your setup to match your preferred riding style.

We keep a limited stock. Most saddles ship from Germany and typically arrive within 1 to 2 weeks.
