Barefoot Soft Walk - Treeless Sheepskin Saddle
The Barefoot Soft Walk is a comfortable treeless fur saddle designed for riders who want the softness of a sheepskin seat combined with the proven Barefoot saddle structure. Built with Barefoot's VPS (Vertebrae Protection System), the saddle distributes the rider's weight across a larger surface while allowing the horse's back to move freely.
The super soft sheepskin seat with foam padding provides an exceptionally comfortable riding experience. The rider sits securely and softly in the saddle while maintaining close contact with the horse. An anatomically shaped cushion under the sheepskin seat helps create a narrower twist, making the saddle easier on the rider's hips.
The Soft Walk saddle is built on a lightweight DryTex base that adapts to the horse's movement while remaining easy to maintain. The saddle can be used normally with stirrups thanks to the integrated VPS system that helps prevent pressure points under the stirrup attachment.
Genuine Sheepskin Comfort
This product is made from real sheepskin. Sheepskin has a temperature-regulating effect - both in cold and warm weather - and is easy to clean. Simply brush out dirt with a soft brush. Sheepskin seats provide the rider with a comfortable, softer seat.

Rider Position Guide
Treeless saddles encourage a balanced seat because there is no rigid tree positioning the rider automatically. Riders transitioning from a traditional treed saddle may notice that the seat feels different at first and may need a short adjustment period while developing balance and core stability.
The Soft Walk provides a very comfortable seat thanks to the sheepskin padding and soft foam layers, making it a popular choice for relaxed riding and long trail rides.
Barefoot Saddle System
All Barefoot saddles perform best when used as part of a saddle system with a suitable Barefoot saddle pad and inserts. This helps distribute rider weight evenly and maintain proper spinal clearance for the horse
For the rider, the seat is super soft with foam padding that surrounds you in comfort. In addition there is anatomically shaped cushion, secured with velcro, under the genuine sheepskin seat to create more of a twist, is easier on the hips, and helps the rider from sitting too wide.
Real sheepskin is used for the seat of the Soft Walk Fur Saddles. Sheepskin has many good properties as a natural product. The sheepskin ensures an even temperature, absorbs moisture instantly and releases it 7 times faster than synthetic fibers. Sheepskin naturally has a disinfecting property, is odor-neutralizing and dirt-repellent. This self-cleaning power is amplified in the fresh air so it is beneficial to remove it from the base and shake it out sometimes. This reduces dust and dirt and airs out the fur at the same time. To remove more intensive dirt you can gently comb out first and if needed rub with a wet cloth. The coat is durable and stays beautiful for many years.
If the sheepskin seat should become completely soaked with water, it should be taken off the saddle and drying separately. Do not dry in the sun or on the heater because this will make the fur brittle.
The underside is made of thick fleece, and there are four D rings. Quality conchos with strings attach the sheepskin seat to the base.
This saddle sells with the medium/standard pommel insert that fits a large variety of horse's conformations. Other pommel sizes can be ordered separately if needed.
