Mindblowing! September 21, 2022 Reviewer: Chantal from KwaZulu Natal, South Africa   Whilst looking for the ultimate saddle that can fir all horses I trialed a Barefoot Barrydale. Initially I struggled with the positioning of the stirrup attachment but after moving it forward and shortening my stirrups slightly I hit the ultimate level of comfort! Aside from my position improving drastically my 14.3hh horse's movement has never been better, and despite his extremely short-coupling he moves like a 17hh warmblood with this saddle. Our new-found freedom is absolutely incredible. My only regret is that I wish I had gone Barefoot sooner! Was this review helpful to you?

This is the most comfortable saddle I have ever owned and believe me, I’ve been through a lot of them! My horse is very happy  with it too!  I highly recommend this saddle!! Enjoying my new saddle November 17, 2015 Reviewer: Lorraine Stubbins from Princeton, BC   I have had my Barefoot Barrydale Saddle for weeks now and it is conforming nicely to my shape. I moved the stirrup hanger forward about an inch to bring the thigh blocks into contact with my leg. I like the balance it puts me in. The cantle supports very well on our terrain, steep ups and downs. I put it to the test when i went out for a fast hack riding my big Irish mare and ponying our Akhal-teke gelding. They were feeling fresh in the cold and we did lots of fast long canters. Even with a bit of "monkey-business" the saddle stayed in the middle and I felt secure. My mare is feeling happy to do a big power trot so it must feel good on her shoulders. I like the fact that under my grandeur under pad, I used a liner, a thin cotton baby pad, it came away with a long dry centre strip around the wither gullet area. We bought my partner a barely used Cherokee and he is enjoying it on his Akhal-teke gelding. Off to the desert we go in January to put some serious trail miles on. Was this review helpful to you?

Barrydale saddle January 8, 2015 Reviewer: Deb from Canada   Bought this saddle second hand and was disappointed that the leather seat was not of the same quality as some other models I had tried several years ago. The rolled edge digs into my leg and the seat fits very small. As a result I have taken it off and am using a sheepskin seatsaver which is much more comfortable. Pretty saddle good in other ways but wish I had trailed it before purchase as I would have chosen another model. Was this review helpful to you?
